Syn.: Scolecithricella cenotelis Park, 1980 (p.59, Descr.F, figs.F); Bradford & al., 1983 (p.103, 109: Rem.); Hopkins, 1985 (p.197, Table 1, gut contents); Hopkins & Torres, 1988 (tab.1); Razouls & al., 2000 (p.343, tab. 2, 5, Appendix); Schnack-Schiel & al., 2008 (p.1046: Tab.2); Park & Ferrari, 2009 (p.143, Table 3, 7: common deep water species, fig.1, Appendix 1, biogeography); Michels & al., 2012 (p.369, Table 1, occurrence frequency);
S. cenotelis : Ward & al., 1995 (p.195, Table 2);

Species Pseudoamallothrix cenotelis - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : T. Park in Antarct. Res. Ser. Washington, 1980, 31 (2). [p.62, Fig.18].. As Scolecithricella cenotelis.
Female: a, habitus (lateral left side); b, forehead (lateral); c, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral left side); d, genital segment (lateral left side); e, rostrum (anterior); f, A2; g, Md; h, Mx1; i, distal part of Mx2; j, Mxp; k, P1 (anterior); l, P2 (posterior); m, P3 (posterior); n, P5 (posterior).

Nota: The distal end of the spermathecal vesicle looks like an empty vacuole.

Species Pseudoamallothrix cenotelis - Plate 2 of morphological figuresIssued from : C. Razouls in Ann. Inst. océanogr., Paris, 1994, 70 (1). [p.199]. As Scolecithricella cenotilis.

Distribution map of Pseudoamallothrix cenotelis by geographical zones
Loc:
Antarct. (Weddell Sea, SW Atlant., Indian, S & SE Pacif., Croker Passage) , sub-Antarct. (South Georgia, Indian, SE Pacif.), Japan (Sagami Bay)
N: 10
Lg.:
(523) F: 2,34-1,96; (1000) F: 2,2 ± 0,1; {F: 1,96-2,34}
Rem.: mesopelagic.
For Park (1980, p.60) this species agrees with Scolecithricella ovata in all anatomical detais except for the spermatheca. The specific name cenotelis refers to the distal end of the spermathecal vesicle, which looks like an empty vacuaole.
