Species Scolecithrix bradyi - Distribution map 3issued from : Gopalakrishnan & Saraledevi in Pelagic Biogeography ICoPB II. Proc. 2nd Int. Conf. Final report of SCOR/IOC working group 93. 9-14 July 1995. Workshop Rep. No.142. UNESCO, 1998. [p.129, Fig.2].
Distribution and abundance of specimens/standard/haul of Scolecithricella bradyi (= Scolecithrix bradyi) in the Indian Ocean.
Species Scolecithrix bradyi - Distribution map 4issued from : H.B. Owre & M. Foyo in Fauna Caribaea, 1967, 1, Crustacea, 1: Copepoda. [p.59, Table 23].
Vertical distribution of Scolecithrix bradyi in the Florida Current (SL 53 station, B 1-9).
Nota: This distribution suggests an upward migration at night.
Species Scolecithrix bradyi - Distribution map 5issued from : A.A. Shmeleva in Bull. Inst. Oceanogr., Monaco, 1965, 65 (n°1351). [Table 6: 21 ]. Scolecithrix bradyi (from South Adriatic).
Dimensions, volume and Weight wet. Means for 50-60 specimens. Volume and weight calculated by geometrical method. Assumed that the specific gravity of the Copepod body is equal to 1, then the volume will correspond to the weight.
Species Scolecithrix bradyi - Distribution map 6issued from : T.L. Hayward in Mar. Biol., 1980, 58. [p.299, Fig.2].
Plots of day (open circle) and night (filled circle) depth distributions of Scolecithrix bradyi in the North Pacific central gyre (main sampling location: 25°N, 155°W with drogue), September 1968.

Rem.: epipelagic. (off Malta: depth sample: 1500 m). Sargasso Sea: 0-500 m (Deevey & Brooks, 1977, Station "S"). 82-301 m at Station N-1 (SW Bösö, E middle Japan) from Furuhashi (1966 a ).
Distributional range (m) from Roe (1972) Day: 40-85, Night: 50-100; from Grice & Hulsemann (1965): 50-200 (in Kuriyama & Nishida, 2006).
The species resembles S. danae, but differs in having longer extensions on the posterior last thoracic segment, a female P5 and a bifurcate terminal segment on the male right P5..
Recorded from the warm waters in Japan. Rare in the Izu region.
After Lapernat & Razouls (2002, p.19) the Itoh's index value of the mandibular gnathobase = 703.7 (number of teeth: 10) on the right Md, and 1473.2 on the left Md; for Gaudy & Boucher (1983): 570.
Timonin (1971, p.282) considers the trophic interrelations in the equatorial and tropical Indian Ocean, and divides the plankters into 6 trophic groups from the litterature and the results of studies of mouth-parts structure and intestine content. This species is omnivorous.
After Benedetti & al. (2018, p.1, Fig.2) this species belonging to the functional group 5 corresponding to small sac-spawning detritivorous.
