Rem.: According to Lehnhofer (1929), followed by numerous authors for whom S. auronitens et S. sinuicauda would only be one species, showing different variations (of which S. pyrosomatis et S. vorax). This position is different from that of Giesbrecht (1892) and of certain authors. Boxshall & Halsey (2004, p.653) only hold the denomination Sapphirina auronitens.
