Oncaea sp.1  [Heron & Frost, 2000]   (F,M)
Syn.: Oncaea ovalis : Heron & Frost, 2000 (p.1052, figs.F,M).
Ref.:
Species Oncaea sp.1 - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1051, Fig.20, G-R]. As Oncaea ovalis.
Female (from NE Pacific): G, habitus (lateral; scale bar: s); H, urosome (dorsal; scale bar: X); I, right A2 (scale bar: Z); J, labrum (dcale bar y); K, right Md (dcale bar: y); L, left Mx1 (scale bar y); M, left Mx2 (scale bar y); N, right Mxp (scale bar x); O-R, P1 to P4 (scale bar: X).
Scale bars: 0.1 mm, see figures 3, 4, 5, 10 of Heron and Frost, 2000 for Oncaea canadensis and Oncaea insolita.

Nota: Ratio of length of prosome to that of urosome 1.9:1. Ratio of length of genital segment to that of remander of urosome 1.24:1. Labrum with free margin divided into 2 posteroventral lobes, each margin with row of alternating dentiform spinules and spatulate setules, all on undersurface; lobes separated by a median thin, hyaline lamella, sparsely covered with petaloid setules. P2 and P3 endopods terminating with a small vented protuberance between terminal and subterminal spines, P4 without. P5 as a small papilla, not delimited from thoracic segment, with 1 terminal seta and an outer long basal seta. P6 represented by spiniform setule on gonopore.

Species Oncaea sp.1 - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1022, Fig.2, ]. As Oncaea ovalis.
Female: P2-P4 endopod terminal ''spine set'' (combination of the lengths, shapes, and position of the three or two terminal spines on the endopods of swimming legs 2-4 , from left to right in figure, for different Oncaea' species).

Species Oncaea sp.1 - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : G.A. Heron & B.W. Frost in Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 2000, 113 (4). [p.1053, Fig.21, A]. As Oncaea ovalis.
Male: A, (lateral; scale bar: X)

Nota: Ratio of length of prosome to that of urosome 2.22:1. Cephalosome with 2 lateral clusters of small refractile points associated with pores

NZ: 1
