Aetideopsis browsei  McKinnon, Corley & Duggan, 2011   (F)
Ref.:
McKinnon, Corley & Duggan, 2011 (p.842, Descr.F, figs.F)
Species Aetideopsis browsei - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : A.D. McKinnon, J. Corley & S. Duggan in Crustaceana, 2011, 84 (7). [p.843, Fig.6].
Female (from 14.05°, 121.85°E): a-b, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); c, urosome (ventral); d, A1; e, A2.

Nota: Prosome comprises cephalosome and 5 thoracic segments, 2.9 times as long as urosome.
A1 24-segmented, extending to posterior border of urosomite 3.
- Rostrum bifurcate, symmetrical, projecting anteriorly and visible in dorsal view.
- Frontal organ comprising 2 large integumental organs at dorsal base of rostrum.- Posterior somite of prosome produced into acute points extending to mid-length of genital double-somite.
Surface of cephalosome and thoracic somites covered with dome-shaped protuberances (about 2 µm in diameter).
- Genital double-somite symmetrical, as long as wide.
- Urosomites 1-3 naked.
- Caudal rami 1.2 times as long as wide. Seta I absent; II short; III-VI long (V longest); VII ventral.

Species Aetideopsis browsei - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : A.D. McKinnon, J. Corley & S. Duggan in Crustaceana, 2011, 84 (7). [p.845, Fig.7, a-d].
Female: a, Md; b, Mx1; c, praecoxal arthrite of Mx1; d, Mx2; e, Mxp.

Nota: Mx1 praecoxal arthrite with 9 terminal claw-like setae, 1+3 setae proximally; coxal endite with 5 setae; proximal basal endite with 4 setae; distal basal endite with 5 setae; endopod segments fused into a single segment separate froim basis, with 132 setae; exopod fused to basis with 10 setae; epipodite with 7 long, 2 short setae.

Species Aetideopsis browsei - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : A.D. McKinnon, J. Corley & S. Duggan in Crustaceana, 2011, 84 (7). [p.845, Fig.7, f-i].
Female: f-i, P1 to P4.

Nota: P1: coxa with outer marginal dentickles, inner margin hirsute; basis with inner margin hirsute, tiny relict seta on outer distal margin, inner seta straight; exopod segment 1 external spine about as long as segment, exopod segment 2 and 3 external spines longer than their respective segments; endopod without external lobe, with minute spinules apically.
P5 absent.

Species Aetideopsis browsei - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : A.D. McKinnon, J. Corley & S. Duggan in Crustaceana, 2011, 84 (7). [p.844].
Female: Armature formula in swimming legs P1 to P4.

(1083) F: 1,97-2,13; {F: 1,97-2,13}
Rem.: For McKinnon & al. (2011, p.846) this species is very similar in morphology to A. tumorosa, especially in lacking the external lobe on the endopod of P1, but differs in the form of the rostrum (directed anteriorly in A. browsei, but ventrally in A. tumorosa), in having shorter pointed processes of the prosome (which do not extend beyond the mid-length of the genital double-somite but beyond mid-length in A. tumorosa, and the mandible endopod segment 2 has 10 setae in A. browsei rather than 9 setae.
