Species Arietellus pavoninus - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : S. Ohtsuka, G.A. Boxshall & H.S.J. Roe in Bull. nat. Hist. Lond. (Zool.), 1994, 60 (2). [p.132, Fig.16, B,H].
Female (from Canary Is.): B, genital double-somite (ventral); H, praecoxal arthrite, coxal and endopod of Mx1 (endopod indicated by arrowhead). cd = copulatory duct; cp = copulatory pore; g = gonopore; rd = receptacle duct; o, oviduct; s, spermatothore remnant; sr = seminal receptacle.
Scale bars in mm.
Nota: Genital double-somite similar to that of A. plumifer, but distinguishable since seminal receptacle relatively much larger than in A. plumifer, over half length of genital double-somite. Endopod of Mx1 distinctly 1-segmented, bulbous with 1 bipinnate seta.

Species Arietellus pavoninus - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : S. Ohtsuka, G.A. Boxshall & H.S.J. Roe in Bull. nat. Hist. Lond. (Zool.), 1994, 60 (2). [p.134, Fig.18,J].
Female: J, 4th to 6th endopod segments of Mxp.
Scale bar in mm.
Nota: 4th and 5th endopod segments each with reduced innermost seta, 6th segment with reduced setae (a and b)

Species Arietellus pavoninus - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : S. Ohtsuka, G.A. Boxshall & H.S.J. Roe in Bull. nat. Hist. Lond. (Zool.), 1994, 60 (2). [p.133, Fig.17 B].
Female: B, P5.
Scale bar in mm.
P5 with coxae incompletely fused in right leg; endopod represented by 2 plumose setae (not so produced as in A. plumifer; exopods 1-segmented, separate from basis, carrying 1 unipinnate spine terminally.

Species Arietellus pavoninus - Plate 4 of morphological figuresIssued from : G.O. Sars in Résult. Camp. Scient. Prince Albert I, 69, pls.1-127 (1924). [Pl.CXX, figs.1-6].
Female: 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, forehead (lateral); 3, labrum and labium (ventral view); 4, Md; 5, P5; 6, distal segments of urosome and caudal rami (dorsal).
