Heptner, 1972 (p.1647, figs.F,M); Park, 2000 (p.113, figs.F,M, Rem.)
Species Heterorhabdus egregius - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 2000, 31. [p.234, Fig.82].
Female: a, habitus (left side); b, urosome (dorsal); c, d, forehead (left, dorsal, respectively); e, f, genital somite (left, ventral, respectively); g, left Mx2 (posterior); h, right Mxp (anterior); i-k, basis of right Mxp from 3 different specimens (anterior).

Nota: Prosome length 72 % length of body and about 2.5 times length of urosome.
Forehead (laterally) with rounded anterior end and produced ventrad into a conical rostrum bearing 2 elongate filaments.
A1 extending beyond posterior end of caudal ramus by last 3 or 4 segments.
Mx2: 2nd seta of 1st lobe about 1/2 length of 1st. Posterior subterminal spine of 4th lobe 63% as long as 2nd saberlike spine. Saberlike spine of 5th lobe 88% as long as falcate spine; falcate spine with proximal 64% of medial margin serrated with spinules. Falcate spine of 6th lobe with proximal 74% of medial margin serrated with spinules.
Mxp: basis with a small elevated pore in addition to 1 or 2 extraordinarily large elevated piores distal to 3rd middle marginal seta.
Genital field with 3-5 pores on left side and about 15 pores on right side.
Length ratios or 4 urosomal somites and left caudal ramus 35.8 : 17.0 ; 13.9 : 9.7 : 23.6 = 100.

Species Heterorhabdus egregius - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : T. Park in Bull. Scripps Inst. Oceanogr. Univ. California, San Diego, 2000, 31. [p.235, Fig.83].
Female: a, P5 (anterior); b, exopod of P5 (posterior).

Male: c, P5 (anterior); d, e, basipod of right P5 (anterior, posterior, respectively); f, basipod of left P5 (anterior); g, h, second exopodal segment of right P5 (anterior, posterior, respectively); i, exopod of left P5 (anterior).

Species Heterorhabdus egregius - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : M.V. Heptner in Zool. Zh., 1972, 51 (11). [p.1648, Fig.2].
Female (from Kuril-Kamchatka): 1-2, habitus (dorsal) and lateral, respectively); 3, ornamentation of cephalosome (lateral portion); 5, genital segment (dorsal); 6-7, idem (lateral); 9, caudal rami (dorsal); 10, P5.
Male: 4, habitus (dorsal); 8, P5, 11, P1.

Species Heterorhabdus egregius - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : M.V. Heptner in Zool. Zh., 1972, 51 (11). [p.1647, Fig.1].
Female: 9, Mxp; 10, Mx1; 11, Mx2.
