Nota: The abdominal segments and furca in the proportional lengths 44:26:30. Wing-like expansions of 3rd thoracic segment not extending to the middle of genital segment. Processes of posterior corners of 4th thoracic segment very small.

Espèce Corycaeus (Ditrichocorycaeus) subtilis - Planche 7 de figures morphologiques[B & H] Female: Small species. Caudal ramus just longer than anal somite. Ventral hook of genital double-somite weak; produced ventral margin of genital double-somite almost rectangular in lateral view.
Male: Genital somite only as long as anal somite and caudal rami combined.

[V & S] Female: Posterior points of thoracic segment 3, in dorsal view, scarcely reacing half genital segment. Spine of basipodite 2 of A2 less than half of spine of basipodite 1.
Male: Posterior points of thoracic segment 3, in dorsal view, shorter than 2/3 genital segment. Genital segment length scarcely shorter than caudal rami. Genital segment 1.5 times longer than caudal rami.

Female (from 35°09'S, 20°13'E): 1, last thoracic segments and abdomen (lateral).
Nota : Cephalothorax and abdomen in the proportional lengths 69 to 31.
Head separates from the 1st thoracic segment, but the line of demarcation is very feeble.w
Wing-like expansion of the 3rd thoracic segment extends only to the level of the proximal 1/5 of the genital segment.
4th thoracic segment ends into short pointed processes.
Abdominal segments and caudal rami in the proportional lengths 45 : 27 : 28 = 100.
Proximal part of the genital segment dilated, without ventral hook.
Anal segment 1.4 times as long as it is broad at the anterior border.
Caudal rami slightly divergent, 3/5 times as long as it is broad at the proximal

Male (from 35°09'S, 20°13'E): 2, habitus (dorsal); 3, last thoracic segments and abdomen (lateral).
Cephalothorax and abdomen in the proportional lengths 60 to 40.
Abdominal segments and caudal rami in the proportional lengths 47 : 23 : 30 = 100.
Genital segment elongate ovate, 1.8 times as long as it is broad at the middle section.
Anal segment about 1.9 times as long as it is broad at the posterior border.
Caudal rami about 4/3 times as long as it is broad at the proximal.
