Euryhaline and eurytherm. For Zamora-Sanchez & Gomez-Aguirre (1985) the salinities are variable at the mouth of the Agiabampo river from 37,68 to 54,72 p.1000 and the temperatures of 25,8° à 31° C where the specimens were captured all year round. The principal characteristics of this species are compared with those of A. tonsa (p.339).
After checking in the publication of Ma.E. Zamora-Sanchez & S. Gomez-Aguirre (1985-1986), the authors specify the size of the female (114 microns) and of the male (88 microns).
The specimens come from a lagoon of Sonora (Mexico).
Salinity from 37.68 to 42.80 per 1000;
Temperature 26.31 °C;
Dissolved oxygen from 3.12 to 4.43 ml/l.
There are some doubts regarding the size of male and female ( F: 0,11; M: 0,09) indicated in the card. Maybe, there should be F:1,1; M:0,9?
