Ref.:
C.B. Wilson, 1950 (p.175, figs.F,M)
Species Calanopia sarsi - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : C.B. Wilson in Bull. U.S. National Museum, 100, 14 (4), 1950. [Pl.5, 30, 32].
Female (from Fiji Islands): 30, habitus (dorsal); 32, P5.
Nota: Urosome 2-segmented, two-fifths as long as metasome; Genital segment the same length as the abdomen. Caudal rami 3 times as long as wide, each with 5 setae, all rather short. A1 19-segmented

Species Calanopia sarsi - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : C.B. Wilson in Bull. U.S. National Museum, 100, 14 (4), 1950. [Pl.5, 31, 33].
Male: 31, habitus (dorsal); 33, P5.
Nota: Right A1 geniculate, , the terminal portion made up of 4 segments of about equal length. Right leg of P5 with 2nd segment invaginated at its distal end where it articulates with the 3rd segment. The latter is considerably swollen and carries on its outer margin the acuminate thumb of the chela. Asymmetry of the spines at the posterior corners of the metasome.

Species Calanopia sarsi - Plate 3 of morphological figuresCalanopia sarsi.
Female:
1 - P5 exopod 2-segmented.
2 - Cephalic lateral hooks absent.
3 - P5 symmetrical.
4 - Caudal rami symmetrical.
5 - 2nd exopodal segment of P5 longer than 1st one.
6 - 1st exopodal segment of P5 with 1 acuminate spine distally and its length nearly as long as 2nd exopodal segment.
Male:
1 - Left P5 shorter than right one; basis of left P5 not swollen proximally.
2 - Prosomal posterolateral corners asymmetrical (right one wider and longer than left one and distinctly notched on its margin)
