Species Scolecithricella curticauda - Plate 1 of morphological figuresIssued from : G.O. Sars in Résult. Camp. Scient. Prince Albert I, 69, pls.1-127 (1924). [Pl.LI, figs.1-7]. As Scolecithrix curticauda.
Female: 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, idem (lateral left side); 3, rostrum; 4, P2; 5, endopodal segments of P3; 6, endopodal segments of P4; 7, P5.

Nota Female:
- Rostrum very thick of the same structure than Amallothrix emarginata and Amallothrix obtusifrons.
- Posterolateral corners of the last thoracic segment evenly rounded, without emargination.
- Urosome short, about 1/4 prosome length (81 : 20).
- A1 extend beyond the body.
- Swimming legs of the same structure than those of Amallothrix obtusifrons.
- P5 distal segment ending in a conical-shaped with a denticle at the apex and a strong long inner edge spine of the same length of the segment.

Species Scolecithricella curticauda - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : A. Scott in Siboga-Expedition, 1909, XIX a. [Plate XXX, Figs.1-9].
Female (from Halmahera Sea): 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, forehead (lateral); 3, last thoracic and genital segments (left side); 4, rostrum; 5, A1; 6, Mx2 (distal portion); 7, P2; 8, P4; 9, P5.

Rem.: Bathypelagic. Sargasso Sea: 1500-2000 m (Deevey & Brooks, 1977, station "S");
Provisionally maintained in the Genus, but probable in the Genus Amallothrix.
Synonymy possible with Amallophora obtusifrons (= Pseudoamallothrix obtusifrons).
After Sars (1925, p.184) this form is identical with the descriptions and figures by A. Scott, although the localisations are very far one each other.
