For Heron & al. (1984, p.476), the species may be distinguished by the 44 endopodite 3 with the marked difference between lengths of the terminal spines, plus the proximal point of insertion of the outer spine, 1/3 the length of the segment from the terminal spines. Most of the specimens were found damagedprobably due to the fragile exoskeleton. The prosomes of many specimens were abnormally expanded, presumably deformed by internal cystic growth.
