Species Parabradyidius spinibasis - Plate 1 of morphological figuresIssued from : J. Bradford in N. Z. J. Mar. Freshw. Res., 1969, 3 (4). [p.483, Figs. 57-69]. As Bradyidius spinibasis stage V.
Female (from 34°38'S, 174°36'E): 57, Mx2; 58, A1; 59, abdomen (lateral); 60, A2; 61, habitus (dorsal ); 62, P1; 63, Mx1; 64, Md; 65, P3; 66, P2; 67, Mxp; 69, rostrum.

Male stage V: 68, P5.

Nota Female:
- Head and thoracic segment 1 fused but fusion line visible, thoracic segments 4 and 5 separate.
- Sharply pointed posterior extensions of prosome, reaching end of abdominal segment 2.
- Rostrum bifurcate, points slightly diverging.
- Urosome little more than 1/5 of total body length.
- A1 reaches thoracic segment 4; 24-segmented, with long terminal annulate setae.
- A2, Md, Mx1, Mx2, Mxp as in Bradyidius.
- Terminal spines on exopods bear about 34 closely packed teeth unlike Bradyidius
- Posterior surface of P2-P4 endopods covered with fine spinules. Glandular pores openong on anterior surface.
- P5 present but damaged

Species Parabradyidius spinibasis - Plate 2 of morphological figuresIssued from : J.M. Bradford & J.B. Jillett in N. Z. Oceanogr. Inst., Memoir 86, 1980. [p.78, Fig.54]. As Pseudotharybis spinibasis stage V.

Female stage V: A, habitus (dorsal); B, rostrum; C, A2; D, P1.

Male stage V: E, P5.

Nota:
- Similar to stage V female but posterior thoracic points slightly shotyer .
- P5 biramous
