        Augaptilidae ( Family )
            Euaugaptilus ( Genus )
Euaugaptilus matsuei  Tanaka & Omori, 1967   (F)
Ref.:
Tanaka & Omori, 1967 (p.254, Descr.F, figs.F); 1974 (p.201, 237, 198: fig.F); Matthews, 1972 (p.36)
Species Euaugaptilus matsuei - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Publs Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1974, XXI (3/4). [p.198: fig.1,g].
Female: g, mandibular teeth.

Species Euaugaptilus matsuei - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Information Bull on Planktology in Japan. Commemoration Number of Dr. Y. Matsue's Sixtieth Birthday, December 1967. [p.255, Fig.6].
Female: A, habitus (dorsal); B, forehead (lateral); C, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral left side); D, rostrum (ventral view); E, A2; F, Md (cutting edge); ; G, Mx1.
Nota: Proportional lengths of urosomites and furca 46:8:18:28 = 100.Furcal rami 2times longer than wide. A1 exceeds the end of furca by last 2 segments. Mx1: 1st inner lobe with 6 setae, outer lobe with 6 long setae, exopod with a long seta and a short spine-like seta at the distal margin, and an additional marginal seta, the 3rd inner lobe is replaced by a small process furnished with hairs on the distal margin, the endopod is fused with the 2nd basal segment, and is provided with a seta.

Species Euaugaptilus matsuei - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : O. Tanaka & M. Omori in Information Bull on Planktology in Japan. Commemoration Number of Dr. Y. Matsue's Sixtieth Birthday, December 1967. [p.256, Fig.7].
Female: A, Mx2; B, Mxp; C, button on distal setae of Mxp; D, P1; E, P2; F, P3; G, P4; H, P5.
Nota: Mx2 is very characteristic bearing many setae, especially on its endopod.
