Espèce Scolecithricella sp. - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesissued from : O. Tanaka in Publ. Seto Mar. Biol. Lab., 1962, X (1). [p.89, Fig.151].
Male (from Suruga Bay): a, forehead (left lateral side); b, last thoracic segment and urosome (left lateral side); c, rostrum (dorsal view); d, Mx2; e, P1; f, P2; g, endopod of left P5.

Nota Male:
- Head and 1st thoracic segment fused, 4th and 5th pedigers fused.
- Posterolateral corners of the last thoracic segment rounded.
- Rostrum composed of a small bifid basal to which robust, long spines attached.
- Urosome 5-segmented; segments and caudal rami in the proportional lengths 10: 39 :17 : 25 : 3 : 6.
- 2nd abdominal segment very robust and long.
- Caudal rami as long as wide.
- A1 20-segmented on left side, reaches back to the end of the last thoracic segment.
- A2 exopod 1.5 times as long as endopod.
- Md palp robust.
- Mx1 with 5 setae on the outer lobe; 8 setae on exopod; 5 setae on endopodal segments 2-3, 3 setae on the endopodal segment 1; 3 setae on the 2nd basal segment; 2 setae on the 3rd inner lobe.
- Mx2 with 5 bud-like and 3 vermiform filaments on the segments of the endopod; one of the bud-like filament is much larger than the rest.
- P1 with the 1st and 2nd exopodal segments have each a slender outer edge spine, 3rd exopodal segment with 2 groups of minute spines on the posterior surface.
- P2 with a moderately long and curved outer edge spine on the 1st exopodal segment , 2nd and 3rd exopodal segments lost.
- P3 and P4 endopods broken off.
- P3 with coxa furnished with minute spines on the posterior surface.
- P5 reaches back to the distal margin of the 3rd abdominal segment. Exopod of the left leg broken off in the distal segment. Endopod of the right leg short.
