Espèce Copilia longistylis - Planche 1 de figures morphologiquesissued from : T. Mori in The Pelagic copepoda from the neighbouring waters of Japan, 1937 (1964). [Pl.79, Figs.4-11].
Female (23°8'N, 124°8'E & 33°N, 140°E): 4, habitus (dorsal); 5, A2; 6, terminal portion of A2; 7, A1; 8, P4; 9, P3; 10, P2; 11, P1.
Nota: Distance between 2 cuticular lenses 2.5 times as long as the diameter of the lens.
- Anal segment nearly as long as the other part of the posterior division.
- Caudal rami longer than twice as long as the posterior division of body.
- 1st segment of A2 nearly twice as long as the 2nd, and has a spine on the distal end; 2nd segment longer than the 3rd, and has a spine on the middle portion of the anterior margin, the anterior margin of the 3rd segment has 3 spines, among which the middle is the longest; the 4th segment is longer than the 3rd; terminal claw stout.
- Endopodite of P4 0.5 times as long as the 1st segment of exopodite, and has 2 setae.

Rem.: epi-mesopelagic.
According to Mori (1932a, p.176) this species ressembles C. mediterranea, but the caudal rami are 2 times longer than the posterior division of bedy, the middle spine on the 1st segment of endopodite of A2 is the longest of 3 spines located on the segment.
