Rostrum with 2 filaments.
Mx1 1st inner lobe with 14 spines and setae.
Rami of swimming leg exopods with a larger number of posterior surface glandular pores than D. palumbii
Genital segment widest anteriorly (in dorsal view).
Genital segment and urosomal segment 2 covered with very small spinules, and borderd posteriorly by fringe of spinules as is urosomal segment 3.

 Disseta magna female: 1 - Dorsally, genital somite (Fig.6-c) relatively short, with smoothly curved lateral swellings.

 Disseta magna male: 1 - Left P5 (Fig.6-h), 2nd exopodal segment without a large lateral spiniform process. 2 - Left P5 (Fig.6-k), 2nd endopodal segment with an anterodistal lobe; 3rd exopodal segment with a small terminal spine.
