issued from A.A. Shmeleva in Zool. Zh., 1965, 44 (5); [p.769]. Female (from Adriatic Sea): habitus (dorsal); R, rostrum (lateral view); Abd, urosome (dorsal); P1-P5, P1 to P5. Nota: head and 1st pedigerous somite separated, 4th and 5th somites fused. Rostrum well developed, bifurcated, rather long and hard. Urosome 2-segmented. Genital segment oval, rather convex in ventral view, bearing well developed spherical spermathecae; its length less than its width. Caudal rami short, almost square, movable, armed with strong setae on each caudal ramus. P5 3-segmented, symmetrical; the last segments separated indistinctly, terminal armament consists of 1 massive wedge-shaped seta and equaling to half of the length of the entire leg and also a crown of small spinules; 2 long feathered setae and 1 short unfeathered seta inserted in the inner edge.
