Remarks

epipelagic (0-10 m).
Resembles Calocalanus fusiformis and Calocalanus fiolentus but differs from them by the lesser number of abdominal segments (3 vs. 4), armature of P5 (1 spine vs. 2), as well as by much longer bristles on the 3rd segment of endopodite of swimmeing les P2 to P4.
