Female: g1-g2, thoracic segments 4+5 (left lateral and dorsal, respectively; both showing strongly produced, lappet-shaped caudo-lateral corners extending largely along, or beyond, genital somite).

Female (from Kuril-Kamchatka): 1-2, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); 3, last thoracic segment, genital segment and urosomite 2 (dorsal); 4-6, last thoracic segment and genital segment ( right and left lateral, ventral, respectively); 7, genital field; 8-9, last toracic segment and genital segment, genital field (ventral; another individual); 10, A1; 11, distal lobe of the endopod of P1.

Nota: basis of Md with 3 setae. Genital segment symmetrical, genital field asymmetrical.

1 - Exopodal segment 2 of P2 anterior surface with a row of minute denticles near the base of external spine. Denticles of endopod of P1 external lobe arranged apically.

Batheuchaeta lamellata: f, A2 arrangements of spinules and hairs on the posterior edge of endopodite 2+3 (left appendage in lateral aspect) : distal patch of >30 spinules with, in addition, a few small, scattered spinule-like structures (lateral face).

Nota: Degree of fusion of exopodite 1 and 2: suture completely free laterally, showing slight indication of fusion medially.
