Rem.: epipelagic (0-200 m).
Closely related to Calocalanus adriaticus but differs from he latter by the form of body and caudal rami (in the former they are more elongated), the structure of urosome (3-segmented in the former and 2-segmented in the latter) and the armature of P5 (in the latter it has a large spine, stylet)..
