Nota: P5 did not appear to have the terminalsegment divided as figured by Andronov.

Male: G, habitus (dorsal); H, idem (lateral right side); I, urosome (dorsal); J, exopod of A2; K, P1; L, P5.

Species Calocalanus namibiensis - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : V.N. Andronov in Zool. Zh., 1973, 52 (9). [p.1406, Fig.1, (1-7)].
Female (from Namibia): 1-2, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); 3-6, P1 to P4; 7, P5.

Species Calocalanus namibiensis - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : R.-M. Barthélémy in These Doct. Univ. Provence (Aix-Marseille I), 1999. [Fig.19, C]. Female (from 45°50'S, 171°06'E): C, external ventral view genital double-somite.

N: 4
(196) F: 0,78-0,59; M: 0,52-0,5; (423) F: 0,7-0,66; (1132) F: 0,6-0,74; M: 0,5-0,52; {F: 0,59-0,78; M: 0,50-0,52}
Rem.: epipelagic- ?.
For Andronov (1973, p.1410) this species is close to C. styliremis, but differs from it in a longer cephalothorax, shape of genital segment and spemathecae and absence of internal seta on 1st segments of exopodites P2-P4.
Considered as Atlantic indicador species in the Mediterranean Sea.
