Distribution map of Paracalanus intermedius by geographical zones
|
| | | | | | Loc: | | | China Seas (Bohai Sea, off Chefoo) | | | N: | 1 | | | Lg.: | | | (437) F: 0,88; M: 0,78; {F: 0,88; M: 0,78} | | | Rem.: | According to Shen Bai (1956, p.219) this species is closely allied to P. parvus and P. aculeatus, but after comparison, it is found to be intermediate between the latter two. The size is smaller than P. parvus and the swimming legs are much slender and mottled with brown spots. (See table of comparison above). For Vervoort, 1962 a (p.396) this form is synonymous with Paracalanus parvus, the same view in Brodsky & al., 1983 (p.214). | | | Last update : 04/01/2022 | |
