Male: (paratype). Ce: forehead (dorsal, lateral)

Species Bradyetes matthei - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : P.J. Johannessen in Sarsia, 1976, 60. [p.21, Fig.1].
Female (from Fensfjorden, S Norway): A-B, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively).
Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment fused, 4th and 5th segments fused, produced posteriorly into a obtuse projection. Rostrum absent. Urosome 4-segmented with a characteristic onion-shaped genital segment. Caudal rami bearing 4 long setae, 1 small spine on the outer margin, and 1 short seta on the ventral surface

Male: C-D, habitus (lateral and dorsal, respectively).
Nota: Urosome 5-segmented. Caudal rami and setae as in the female. Left A1 24-segmented; 19th and 20th segments of the right A1 coalesced.

Species Bradyetes matthei - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : P.J. Johannessen in Sarsia, 1976, 60. [p.21, Fig.1].
Female: A, A1; B, A2; C, Md; D, Mx1; E, Mx2; F, Mxp; G-J, P1 to P4; K, urosome (dorsal).
Nota: A1 24-segmented, densely setose, reaching nearly to the end of the prosome (when reflexed).A2 with exopod longer than endopod; last segment of the endopod with a group of small spines. P5 absent.

Male: L, Md; M, Mx1; N, P5; O, urosome (dorsal). A2 as in the female.Gnathobase of Md lacking, the rest similar to that of the female though reduced in size. Mx1 considerably reduced, completely lacking masticatory spines. Mx2 completely reduced. Mxp weaker than in the female, but otherwise similar. Swimming limbs as in the female. P5: both left and right leg with small 2-segmented protopodites; left leg with 2-segmented endopodite and 3-segmented exopodite; last exopodite segment very short, bearing a group of fine setae; distal end of the 2nd segment with a border of fine setules; right leg with a 1-segmented endopodite and a 2-segmented exopodite carrying a long, curved spine.
