Female (from San Diego Region): 47, head and two thoracic segments. Nota: Body strongly depressed. Head rounded both in dorsal and side views. Last thoracic segment rounded at the sides. Cephalothorax widest just behind the suture between the head and thorax. Abdomen 4-segmented. Genital segment about twice as long as the 2nd, which is as long as the 3rd. Anal segment about one-third as long as the preceeding one. A1 24-segmented, as long as the cephalothorax. Endopod of A2 reaches about to the distal end of the 2nd basal

issue from : C.O. Esterly in Univ. Calif. Publs Zool., 1911, 6 (14). [Pl.30, Fig.70]. As Onchocalanus latus. Female: 70, part of Mx2 showing the sensory appendages. Nota: Mx2 with 1 vermiform and 6 pencillate appendages; of the latter, 4 are slender and 2 very heavy.

issue from : C.O. Esterly in Univ. Calif. Publs Zool., 1911, 6 (14). [Pl.31, Fig.97]. As Onchocalanus latus. Female: 97, endopod of P4. Nota: Exopod of all feet are 3-segmented and in the P1 each segment has a spine on the outer margin. Exopod not spinose on the surfaces, but in the P3 and P4, the 2nd segment of the endopod has groups or rows of heavy spines.
