Rem.: bathypelagic.
This form resembles Xanthocalanus fallax.
For Vanhöffen (1897 a) the new species is closer X. minor and X. agilis by the P5 structure, but more hairy, the last thoracic segment ended in short point. The size is the doble than the mediterranean species.
