(Sagami Bay, Japan): a, habitus (dorsal); b, forehead (lateral); c, last thoracic segment and genital segment (lateral left side); d, rostrum (anterior aspect); e, Mx1; f, Mx2; g, P1; h, P2; i, endopod of P3; j, endopod of P4; k, P5.
Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment separate, 4th and 5th separate.
The frontal margin of forehead slightly sinuate in lateral aspect.
Rostrum bifurcates, the rami very robust and short, direct outwardly at the apical portion.
The abdominal segments and furca in the proportional lengths 18 : 26 : 20 : 20 : 2 : 14 = 100.
A2 exopodite about 1.4 times as long as the endopodite (10 : 7). Md with the endopodite a little longer than the exopodite (13 : 15).
Mx1 with long setae on the 1st inner lobe, 2nd with 2 short setae, 3rd with 2 setae (the proximal one short); 2nd basal segment with 3 setae (the proximal one strong); endopod with 2+1+3 setae; exopod with 9 setae; outer lobe with 6 setae (distal one located apart from the rest).
Mx2: with 5 small sensory setae and one large sensory appendage on the endopod, the apical lobes with each long lexible setae.
Left P5 long, distal segment very small with 2 apical spines (inner one small with tufts of hairs on the lateral margins); 4th segment has on the distal margin an inner marginal spine and 5 slender spines. Right P5 3-segmented, short, distal segment with a small spine.
