Distribution map of Xanthocalanus difficilis by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | NE Atlant. (32°29'N, 20°09'W; 29°57'N, 22°58'W) | | | N: | 1 | | | Lg.: | | | (226) F: 1,34-1,15; {F: 1,15-1,34} | | | Rem.: | bathy-abyssopelagic (1500-4000 m). Probable in the Groupe "Scolecithrix ctenopus". Probable in the genus Scolecitrichopsis. For Grice & Hulsemann (1965, p.235)this species differs from other species of Xanthocalanus by its single pointed rostrum, lack of filaments and structure of P5. This species resembles X. fallax (Sars, 1903). | | | Last update : 02/02/2015 | |
