| | | | | | Ref.: | | | Mulyiadi & Ueda, 1996 (p.907, figs.F,M); Mulyadi, 2002 (p.32, figs.F,M, Rem.) | Issued from : Mulyadi & H. Ueda in Crustaceana, 1996, 69 (7). [p.909, Fig.1]. Female (from off Labuan, W Java): a, habitus (dorsal); b, urosome (dorsal); c, idem (ventral); d, idem (lateral right side); e, A2; f, Md; g, Mx1; h, Mx2; i, Mxp; j, forehead (lateral); k, rostrum. Nota: 4th and 5th metasomal somites fused but still having a trace of suture, posterolateral ends symmetrical and reaching middle of genital complex. Caudal rami asymmetrical, right ramus much larger than left

Issued from : Mulyadi & H. Ueda in Crustaceana, 1996, 69 (7). [p.910, Fig.2]. Female: a-e, P1-P4; f, P5 (lateral view); g, A1. Nota: A1 18-segmented, reaching posteriorly about the middle of the genital complex.

Issued from : Mulyadi & H. Ueda in Crustaceana, 1996, 69 (7). [p.911, Fig.3]. Male: a, habitus (dorsal); b, urosome (dorsal); c, forehead (lateral); d, rostrum; e, left A1; f, right A1; g, middle segments of right A1; h, P5; i, terminal segment of left P5. Nota: Urosme 5-segmented, urosmite 5 shorter and slightly narrowed than Urosomite 4. Caudal rami symmetrical, divergent posteriorly, about 3 times long as wide and apparently longer than urosomite 4 and 5 combined.

Issued from : Mulyadi & H. Ueda in Crustaceana, 1996, 69 (7). [p.913, Table I]. Comparative list of characters of Calanopia herdmani A. Scott, 1909 and C. asymmetrica Mulyadi & Ueda, 1996. The characters of C. herdmani are cited from A. Scott (1909). Ur1-Ur5 represent the 1st to 5th urosomal somites, respectively.

Calanopia asymmetrica. Female: 1 - P5 exopod 2-segmented. 2 - Cephalic lateral hooks absent. 3 - P5 symmetrical. 4 - Caudal rami asymmetrical, right ramus much longer than left, expanded posteriorly. Male: 1 - Left P5 shorter than right one; basis of left P5 not swollen proximally. 2 - Prosomal posterolateral corner symmetrical. 3 - Cephalic lateral hooks absent. 4 - 2nd urosomite symmetrical and without any process. 5 - 2nd exopodal segment of right P5 longer than 1st one, curved at 1/3 its length; basis of left P5 shorter than 1st exopodal segment. 6 - 1st exopodal segment of right P5 subequal to basis, and 4.5 times as long as wide; 2nd exopodal segment of left P5 with 2 lateral spines.

Distribution map of Calanopia asymmetrica by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | Indonesia-Malaysia (Sunda Strait)
Type locality: off Labuan (west Java) | | | N: | 2 | | | Lg.: | | | (158) F: 1,73-1,64; M: 1,6-1,52; {F: 1,64-1,73; M: 1,52-1,60} | | | Rem.: | inshore.
