Female (from Puerto Galera Bay: Philippines): 12, habitus (lateral right side); 13, last thoracic segment; 14, urosome (dorsal); 15, left A1 (dorsal view); 16, right P1; 20, P5. Nota: last thoracic segment produced on either side to a rounded lobe and provided with a spine placed asymmetrically on side of segment. Urosome 2-segmented; genital segment much larger than anal and provided with a lateral lobe on left side where genital opening is situated. Anal segment twice as wide as long. Caudal rami symmetrical. Light blue in life.

Male: 1, habitus (lateral right side); 2, last thoracic segment (dorsal); 3, urosome (dorsal ); 4, right A1 (lateral view); 5, A2; 6, right Md (anterior view); 7, Mx1; 8, Mx2; 9, Mxp; 10, left leg of P5; 11, right leg of P5. Nota: Head without side hooks but with a forked rostrum ending in strong rostral prongs. Dorsal eye lenses, diameter of median ventral eye greater than that of dorsal eye. Cephalothorax 7-segmented; first two thoracic segments of equal size, but longer than any of the last four thoracic segments; last thoracic segment symmetrical, fused with preceding segment and provided on each side with a lateral spine pointing posteriorly. Urosome as long as head. Urosome 4-segmented. caudal rami symmetrical. A1 asymmetrical; left A1 23-segmented; right A1 16-segmented. Left leg of P5 4-segmented, without endopodite; terminal segment provided with 4 bristles at end, with numerous, thickly set hairs on inner surface, terminal spine on 2nd distal segment.; head segment of right P5 with proximal internally directed pronglike extension, terminal segment slender, recurved, terminating in a pronglike portion with 1 median and 1 terminal spine.
