Distribution map of Labidocera kolpos by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | California, G. of California | | | N: | 3 | | | Lg.: | | | (467) F: 2,97-2,18; M: 2,3-1,91; {F: 2,18-2,97; M: 1,91-2,30} | | | Rem.: | Coastal. ''Labidocera jollae'' Group (in Brinton & al., 1986). According to Fleminger (1967, p.15) the preserved (5 percent formaldehyde solution) individuals exhibit two sets of carmine-colored structures, one between thoracic segments 1 and 2, the other in thoracic segment 3. The swimming legs show a faint tint of blue in the cuticle. Living specimens were found to be uniformly blue-green. After Brinton & al. (1986, p.245) this species appears in the cooler months in the Gulf of California. | | | Last update : 06/01/2015 | |
