Rem.: Coastal.
''Labidocera jollae'' Group (in Brinton & al., 1986).
According to Fleminger (1967, p.15) the preserved (5 percent formaldehyde solution) individuals exhibit two sets of carmine-colored structures, one between thoracic segments 1 and 2, the other in thoracic segment 3. The swimming legs show a faint tint of blue in the cuticle. Living specimens were found to be uniformly blue-green.
After Brinton & al. (1986, p.245) this species appears in the cooler months in the Gulf of California.
