Female (from Key West, Florida): 14, posterior portion of body (less cephalon and thoracic segment 1; lateral); 15, urosome (ventral); 18, habitus (dorsal); 21, rostrum; 22, P5; 24, Md (cutting edge).

Male: 16, geniculate A1 (less proximal segments); 17, habitus (dorsal); 19, left P5; 20, terminal segment of left P5 (posterior); 23, right P5 (anterior);
Holotype: figs.15 , 22; paratypes: remaining figures.

Rem.: The year is that of the publication in which the species was described and not that of the thesis of the author (1956).
According to Fleminger (1957, p.25) the similarity between P. lobiancoi (Canu) and P. polydactyla compels reconsideration of the former's records from the Gulf of Mexico and the western Atlantic reported by C.B. Wilson (1932, 1942, 1950) and by King (1950).
