Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : J.M. Bradford-Grieve in The Marine Fauna of New Zealand: Pelagic Calanoid Copepoda. National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA). NIWA Biodiversity Memoir, 111, 1999. [p.208, Fig.156: from Giesbrecht, 1896]. As Pontellopsis kraemeri.
Female: A, last thoracic segment and urosome (ventrall); B, P5.

Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : E.G. Silas & P.P. Pillai in J. mar. biol. Ass. India, 1973 (1976), 15 (2). [p.836, Fig.27].
Female (from Indian Ocean): a, urosome (dorsal); b, P5.

Male: c, urosome (dorsal); d, right A1 (distal part); e, P5.
Scale as in Calanopia minor.

Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : W. Giesbrecht in Zool. Jahrb., 1896 (1897). [Taf.5, Figs.1, 2]. As Monops krämeri.
Female (from Red Sea): 1, urosome (ventral); 2, P5.

Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : C.B. Wilson in Bull. U.S. natn Mus., 1950, 100, 14 (4). [Pl.31, Figs.476, 479, 480].
As Pontellopsis strenua.
Female: 476, habitus (dorsal); 479, Md; 480, P5.

Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 5 of morphological figuresissued from : Mulyadi in Treubia, 2002, 32; [p.135, Fig.49].
Female (from Indonesian waters): a, habitus (dorsal); b, metasomal somite 5 and urosome (dorsal); c, P5.

Male: d, habitus (dorsal); e, metasomal somite 5 and urosome (dorsal); f, right A1; g, right P5; h, left P5.

The male of the prsent specimen most resembles that of P. herdmani as described by Silas & Pillai (1973). Slight differences were noted in the present from the original description in having the exopod of left P5 terminating into 2 unequal spines, outer distal spine provided into 2 spine-like processes, inner one long and stout.

Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 6 of morphological figuresissued from : N. Phukham in Species diversity of calanoid copepods in Thai waters, Andaman Sea (Master of Science, Univ. Bangkok). 2008. [p.179, Fig.53].
Female (from W Malay Peninsula): a, habitus (dorsal); b, urosome (dorsal); c, P5.

Body length after the drawing: F = 1.80 mm.

Species Pontellopsis krameri - Plate 7 of morphological figuresissued from : P.P. Pillai in J. mar. biol. Ass. India, 1975, 17 (2). [p.136, Fig.3, f-g].
Female (from Indian Ocean): f, urosome (dorsal); g, P5.

(W equatorial), Australia (Great Barrier, New South Wales)

Type locality: Red Sea
N: 24
Lg.:
(34) F: 2,16-1,92; (47) F: 1,9; (78) F: 2; (104) F: 2,2; (256) F: 2,98-1,86; M: 2,17-1,62; (483) F: 1,98; M: 1,6; (530) F: 2,1; (1087) F: 1,9-2,0; M: 1,7-1,8; (1115) F: 1,98-2,24; {F: 1,86-2,98; M: 1,60-2,17}
Rem.: epipelagic, neritic.
Bradford-Grieve, 1999 b (p.208) does not keep the male for valid; in addition, the spelling of the name is modified into kraemeri, which can present problems when searching on "ä" by a computer search machine, not always readable according to the adopted policies; however each modification should be mentioned in the Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature.
