Remarks

For Grice & Hulsemann (1967, p.25) the male resembles Scolecithrix emarginata Farran, 1905. The male of this species has not heretofore been described.
For Sewell (1947, p.154) the number of setae from the various parts of Mx1 female as Amallothrix indica: outer lobe (7); inner lobe 1 (10), inner lobe 2 (2), inner lobe 3 (3); basal segment 2 (4); endopod (6); exopod (8).
