Bathypelagic.
Probable in the Genus Amallothrix.
Park (1970, p.507) points to the species was described briefly by Farran (1926) on the basis of females whose appendages were damaged.
Bradford & al. (1983) are less affirmative than Park (1970) on the synonymy of A. paravalida.
