Species Scolecitrichopsis pseudoculata - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : A.F. Campaner in Bolm. Zool. Univ. S. Paulo, 1979, 4. [p.83, Figs.1-7]. As \"Scolecithricella\" pseudoculata.
Female (from continental shelf, Brazil): 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, idem (lateral right side); 3, rostrum (lateral); 4, distal part of the last thoracic segment (lateralright side); 5, A1; 6, A2; 7, mouth region (lateral).
Scale bars: 0.500 mm (1-2); 0.100 mm (3-7).
Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment fused, 4th and 5th separate. Posterior corner of Th5 ending in 1 sbterminal rounded and 1 terminal acute points. Urosome 4-segmented, anal segment reduced. A1 24-segmented. A2 with exopodite longer than endopodite.

Species Scolecitrichopsis pseudoculata - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : A.F. Campaner in Bolm. Zool. Univ. S. Paulo, 1979, 4. [p.84, Figs.8-11]. As \"Scolecithricella\" pseudoculata.
Female: 8, Md (mandibular palp); 9, Md (cutting edge); 10, Mx1; 11, Mx2.
Scale bars: 0.050 mm. Inner lobes 1 to 5 of basipodites of Mx2 with respectively 3, 3, 2, 3, 4 setae (on of these is a vermiform seta). Endopodite of Mxp 5segmented, xith respectively 4, 4, 3, 4, 4 setaesegments 1 to 5

Species Scolecitrichopsis pseudoculata - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : A.F. Campaner in Bolm. Zool. Univ. S. Paulo, 1979, 4. [p.85, Figs.12-17]. As \"Scolecithricella\" pseudoculata.
Female: 12, Mxp; 13, P1; 14, P2 (exopod incomplete); 15, P3 (incomplete); 16, P4 (incomplete); 17, right P5 (ventral side).
Scale bars: 0.100 mm (12-16); 0.050 mm (17).
Nota: P5 uniramous, 3-segmented (although 2nd and 3rd segments not completely separated dorsally); last segment with 1 strong and spinulose marginal spine, 2 short apical and many other widely distributed spines.

Distribution map of Scolecitrichopsis pseudoculata by geographical zones
Brazil (off Rio de janeiro, continental shelf)
N: 1
(537) F: 1,71; {F: 1,71}
Rem.: hyperbenthic.
For Campaner (1979, p.86) the sepecies agrees with Bradford's(1973) definition of the "Scolecithrix" ctenopus group if some details are added or alterd. The specific name is given because of its frontal structurs resembling eyes.
