Species Scottocalanus farrani - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : G.D. Grice in Fish. Bull. Fish and Wildl. Ser., 1962, 61. [p.212, Pl.19, Figs.16-20].
Male (from 00°00', 149°38'W): 16, forehead (lateral); 17, posterior part of thorax and genital segment (lateral, right side); 18, rostrum; 19, P2; 20, P5.

Species Scottocalanus farrani - Plate 5 of morphological figuresissued from : Mulyadi in Published by Res. Center Biol., Indonesia Inst. Sci. Bogor, 2004. [p.26, Fig.11].
Male (from Flores Sea): a, habitus (dorsal view).
Nota: In this drawing, the same figure than 1998, fig.1, the 2nd and 3rd caudal setae are plumose on the proximal part.

Distribution map of Scottocalanus farrani by geographical zones
Loc:
Indian (off SW Laccadive Is., 10° N - 10° S in Gopalakrishnan & Balachandran, 1992), Indonesia-Malaysia, Flores Sea, Celebes Sea, China Seas (East China Sea, South China Sea), Pacif. (W equatorial), Pacif. (equatorial)
N: 11
Lg.:
(5) F: 3,5; M: 3,54; (101) M: 3,5; (777) M: 3,54; (1122) M: 3,54; {F: 3,50; M: 3,50-3,54}
Rem.: For Vervoort (1965, p.54) the female of A. Scott's S. farrani is very near to S. helenae, but the lateral margins of the last thoracic somites are of a quite different shape, there is a small difference inthe shape of the crest and P5 are slightly different. The differences in the structure of P5 male are much bigger. The two species are closely allied.
