Comantenna curtisetosa  Alvarez, 1986   (F)
Ref.:
Alvarez, 1986 (p.859, Descr.F, figs.F); Markhaseva, 1996 (p.138, figs.F); Bradford-Grieve & al., 1999 (p.879, 919, figs.F); Schulz, 2002 (p.106, 107, Rem.); Markhaseva & al., 2017 a (p.29: Table 1)
Species Comantenna curtisetosa - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : M.P.J. Alvarez in J. Crustacean Biol., 1986, 614. [p.860, Figs.1-6].
Female (from 21°37'S, 40°03'W): 1-2, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); 3, urosome (ventral); 4, genital segment (lateral); 5, A2; 6, Md (gnathobase).

Nota: Rostrum absent. Proportion of prosome:urosome 80:20. Proportions of lengths of urosome segments and caudal rami 43.7:15.6:9.4:6.2:25.1 = 100. A2 with exopod small.

Species Comantenna curtisetosa - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : M.P.J. Alvarez in J. Crustacean Biol., 1986, 614. [p.861, Figs.7-11].
Female: 7, Mx1; 8, Mx2; 9, 5th lobe of Mx2; 10, Mxp; 11, P5.

Mx1 with 5 setae on 1st outer lobe, 11 plumose setae on exopod, 14 spines on 1st inner lobe, 4 setae on 2nd inner lobe; 1 fine, plumose seta and 1 setose seta on 3rd inner lobe; 3 setae on 2nd basipodal segment, and 6 plumose setae on each of 2 endopodal segments. Mx2 6-segmented; first 3 lobes each with 2 long setae bearing 3 rows of setules. P5 symmetrical and rudimentary.

Species Comantenna curtisetosa - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : M.P.J. Alvarez in J. Crustacean Biol., 1986, 614. [p.874, Figs.74-78].
Female: 74, A2; 75, 5th lobe of Mx2; 76, Mx2; 77, Mxp; 78, P5.

Nota: A2 differs from other species in the genus in the length of the terminal setae on the 7th segment of the exopod: in C. curtisetosa these setae are much shorter than those of the preceding segment, but are not as small as those of C. brevicornis. Mx2 with spinules on the spines of 5th lobe (instead fine long setules in C. recurvata, and denticles in C. brevicornis. Mxp with aesthetascs (rounded distally) on the 1st basipod (instead of truncated as in C. crassa and C. recurvata.

Species Comantenna curtisetosa - Plate 4 of morphological figuresIssued from : E.L. Markhaseva, J.M. Bradford-Grieve & J. Renz in Arthropodia Selecta, 2017, 26 (1). [p.29, Table 1].
