Female (from Indian Ocean): 32, habitus (lateral right side); 33, 5th thoracic segment and urosome (dorsal); 34, Mxp (setae on distal segments omitted).

Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment incompletely separated, 4th and 5th separated. 5th thoracic segment ends in rounded protusions. Mx1 with 4 setae on second inner lobe, 3 on third inner lobe, 4 on second basal segment and 9 on endopod.
The knoblike protrusions of the 5th thoracic segment and the number of setae on the Mx1 will distinguish this species from S. polaris Brodsky.
