Distribution map of Stephos angulatus by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | New Zealand (Wellington Harbour: Evans Bay) | | | N: | 1 | | | Lg.: | | | (774) F: 0,87-0,78; M: 0,8-0,7; {F: 0,78-0,87; M: 0,70-0,80} | | | Rem.: | In 12 m of water in Evans Bay. According to bradford-Grieve (1999 a, p.23) there is a small amount of variation in the numbers of spinules on the female genital double-somite, the surfaces of the swimming legs, and the caudal rami. For the author (p.25) this species belongs to type IV (see Genus Stephos). The female of S. angulatus may be distinguished from all other described Stephos by the conspicuous inner distal expansion on theP5 basis. | | | Last update : 22/01/2016 | |
