Ref.:
Schulz & Beckmann, 1995 (p.206, figs.F); Andronov, 2002 (p.34, figs.F); Ferrari & Markhaseva, 2005 (p.46: tab.1)
Species Tharybis angularis - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : K. Schulz & W. Beckmann inSarsia, 1995, 80. [p.204, Fig.3].
Female (from S Iceland Basin): A, habitus (dorsal); B, idem (lateral left side); C, forehead (lateral); D, urosome (ventral); E, posterior part of metasome and urosome (lateral left side); F, A1; G, A2; H, Md (masticatory edge); .
Scale bars = 0.100 mm.
Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment séparate (althought mostly fused laterally), 4th and 5th fused. Rostral filaments lacking. Ratio Prosome/Urosome = 3.5:1.Genital segment slirgtly longer than 2 following segments combined. Anal segment almost entirely telescoped into preceding segment. A1 24-segmented. Mandibular gnathobase strong and of typical appearance, cutting blade bearing distal rows of unequal spinules both anteriorly and posteriorly.

Species Tharybis angularis - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : K. Schulz & W. Beckmann inSarsia, 1995, 80. [p.205, Fig.4].
Female: A, Mx1; B, Mx2; C, Mxp; D, P1; E, P2; F, P3; G, P4; H, P5.
Scale bars = 0.100 mm.
Nota: Mx1: praecoxal arthrite very large, with 13 elements; coxal endite carrying 3, coxal epipodite 7 setae; 1st basal endite with 4, and distal basal endite carrying 3 setae; endopod indistinctly 2-segmented bearing 2 and 5 setae; exopod fused to basis, with 3 setae. Mx2: praecoxa bearing distinct outer hump; endites from proximal to distal with 4, 3, 3, 3, 4 setae; endopod indistinctly separated with 6 short brush-like and 3 long worm-like aesthetascs distally.
