Tharybis sagamiensis Tanaka, 1960 (F) | |
| | | | | | Ref.: | | | Tanaka, 1960 a (p.127, Descr.F, figs.F); Bradford & al., 1983 (p.127); Chihara & Murano, 1997 (p.920, Pl.182: F); Andronov, 2002 (p.55, figs.F); Ferrari & Markhaseva, 2005 (p.46: tab.1) | issued from : O. Tanaka in Publ. Sero Mar. Biol. Lab., 1960, VIII (1). [p.128, Fig.101]. Female (from Sagami Bay, Japan): a, habitus (dorsal); b, forehead (lateral); c, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral right side); d, Md; e, Mx1; f, Mx2; g, Mxp; h, P1; i, P5. Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment fused, 4th and 5th fused. Rostral filaments fine. The abdominal segments and furca in the proportional lengths 43 : 17 : 17 : 3 : 20 = 100. Genital segment slightly asymmetrical (the lateral margin of the right side has a small swelling). 2nd and 3rd abdominal segments striated on the distal margin. Caudal rami about as long as wide. A2 with exopodite 2 times as long as the endopodite; 1st basal segment bears a tuft of hairs on the posterior surface; distal segment of exopodite very long, more than half the length of the exopodite Md: bitting part very strong, teeth on the inner margin fusnished with stiff hairs; exopod shorter than the endopod. Mx1 has an exceedingly large masticatory lobe, exopod and endopod feeble; the outer lobe has 7 setae; 2nd and 3rd inner lobes with 2 and 3 setae respectively. Mx2 with 3 long worm-like filaments and 6 bud-like sensory filaments on the distal segments, the spine on the 5th lobe is stout but not long. P5: the 3rd segment carries 3 apical spines and a small triangular process near the proximal margin of the posterior surface (viewed from the lateral)
