Nota : Cephalothoracic segment about one and a half times the entire length of the remaining segments of the thorax and abdomen. Nota : Abdomen 3-segmented ; 1st segment distinctly larger than the last segment of the thorax and about twice the entire length of the next two abdominal segments ; these two segments sub-equal, but the 2nd slightly the longer of the two

Issued from : T. Scott in Rep. Fishery Bd Scotl., 1904, 12 (3). [Pl. XIV, figs.20-22]. As Thaumaleus zetlandicus. Female: 20, A1; 21, P5; 22, abdomen and caudal rami. Figs. 21 and 22 at the same scale. Nota : A1, short and moderately stout, 4-segmented ; 1st and 3rd segments smaller than the others, while the end segment about equal to the entire length of the other three. P5 short and broadly foliaceous, terminate in two broad rounded sub-equal lobes, the outer one of which is provided with 3 moderately long setae ; the inner lobes donot appear to carry any setae.

Nota: A1 5-segmented, longer than those of the female. Abdomen 4-segmented ; the first two sub-equal and each smaller than the last segment of the thorax, while the last two are together only a little longer than the preceding segment. The number of caudal setae is the same as in the female.
