Remarks

Farran, 1911 a (p.289) reports, among others, distributions in: The Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Cape of Good Hope, all localisations for which we have no references (maybe from Dana of whom the descriptions appear unsure).
For Boxshall & Halsey (2004, p.491) the subgenus (Dahl, 1912) is considered as full generic status pending phylogenetic revision of the whole family at the generic level.
