Nota: Head and 1st thoracic segment fused, 4th and 5th separate. Caudal rami nearly twice as long as broad, and are as long the anal segment. A1 24-segmented, reaching the end of the caudal rami. 1st basopodite segment of P3 and P4 furnished with a number of fine hairs on the inner margin. P5 absent.

After A. Scott (1909, p.53) the species is easily recognised by its very swollen one-pointed rostrum, and by the complete segmentation of the 4th and 5th thoracic segments.For Vervoort, this species would belong to the genus Aetideopsis. ? Probably Aetideopsis crassirostris
