Remarks

If one admits the variations established by Lehnhofer (1929, p.289), this species would be a synonym of Sapphirina auronitens-sinuicauda. Boxshall & Halsey (2004, p.653) have the opinion that this species should be considered as a synonym of Sapphirina auronitens.
