Species Pseudodiaptomus ardjuna - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : A.N.P. Ummerkutty in J. Mar. Biol. Ass. India, 1960, 1 (2). [p.182, Fig.1].
Female (G. of Mannar): 1, habitus (dorsal); 2, A1; 3, A2; 4, Md; 5, Mx1; 6, Mx2; 7, Mxp; 8, P1; 9, P2; 10, endopod of P4; 11, P5.
Nota: Head and 1st pediger segment fused; Th5 armed on each of its postrero-lateral corners with a sharp spine, directed backwards and slightly outwards, the right spine slightly larger than the left one.
A1 23-segmented; segments 1st to 15th and the 18th and 23rd segments bear each an aesthetask besides 1 or more setae, the 21st segment bears a specialized seta whose inner margin carries a row of teeth at about its mid-region.
A2 with a protopod 2-segmented, endopod 2-segmented and exopod 4-segmented; possessing 2 rows of small spinules on the distal inner margin of the last segment of the endopod.
Md palp with exopod 4-segmented, endopod 2-segmented and a 2-segmented protopod; masticatory blade with numerous teeth.
Mx1, probably the most conservative of all structures in this genus, quite typical.
Mx2 apparently 3-segmented, consists of 7 endites, the 1st and 2nd segments with 2 endites each, the 3rd with 3 endites; the endites bear 3 or 4 fairly long setae.
Mxp 7-segmented.
P5 uniramous, symmetrical, 4-segmented; 1st segment naked, 2nd and 3rd segments each bears 1 setule, the last segment with 2 setae of unequal length and 2 flattened spinelike structures, bearing minute teeth on the inner margin. Endopod absent.
A single ovisac, containing about 25 eggs.

Male: 12, habitus (dorsal); 13, right A1; 14, P5.
Nota: A1 21-segmented, right one geniculate, left A1 as in female including the specialized seta of the 21th segment.

Species Pseudodiaptomus ardjuna - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : Y. Al-Yamani, V. Skryabin, A. Gubanova, S. khvorov & I. Prusova in Marine Zooplankton Practical Guide for the Northwestern Arabian Gulf, 2, 2011. [p.50, Fig.171].
Female (from Kuwait): a, habitus (lateral); b, genital double-somite.

Species Pseudodiaptomus ardjuna - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : Y. Al-Yamani, V. Skryabin, A. Gubanova, S. khvorov & I. Prusova in Marine Zooplankton Practical Guide for the Northwestern Arabian Gulf, 2, 2011. [p.50, Fig.172].
Male: a, habitus (lateral); b, P5; c, right P5 terminal part.
