Species Pseudodiaptomus hypersalinus - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : T.C. Walter in Aust. J. Mar. Fresfw. Res., 1987, 38. [p.384, Fig.10].
Female (from W Australia: Shark Bay): A, habitus (dorsal); B, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral right side); C, P6 (posterior view).

Male: D, habitus (dorsal); E, last thoracic segment and urosome (lateral right side); F, P5 (posterior view); G, lateral view of right endopod of P5; H, P5 (anterior view).

Rem.: Surface plankton (collected in Salinity = 49.7 g/l.)
For Chad Walter (1987, p.385) this species is most closely related to P. australiensis. The specific name hypersalinus does not imply that the species is restricted to high salinity waters.
In Ramosus species group (hickmani subgroup) after Walter & al. 2006, p.203.
See remarks in P. sulawesiensis (Nishida & Rumengan, 2005, p.31).
