Eurytemora arctica  Wilson & Tash, 1966   (F,M)
Ref.:
Wilson & Tash, 1966 (p.554, figs.F,M, juv.); Shih & al., 1971 (p.207); Heron & Damkaer, 1976 (p.129, Table 2); Kos, 1977 a (p.35, figs.F,M); Dussart & Defaye, 1983 (p.49)
Species Eurytemora arctica - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : M.S. Wilson & J.C. Tash in Proc. U.S. Nat. Mus., 1966, 118 (No 3534). [p.557, Fig.1].
Female (from \"Lake\" 4, coast of Chukchi Sea): a, habitus (lateral; P5 omitted), and variation of cephalic protuberance; b, idem with apex of A1 (dorsal); c, detail of right metasomal wing (lateral); d, detail of metasomal wings and urosome (dorsal); e, genital segment (ventral) with detail of operculum; f, Md (bitting edge); A1.

Species Eurytemora arctica - Plate 2 of morphological figuresissued from : M.S. Wilson & J.C. Tash in Proc. U.S. Nat. Mus., 1966, 118 (No 3534). [p.556].
Female: armature of A1 (s = seta; sp = spine; a = aesthete).

Species Eurytemora arctica - Plate 3 of morphological figuresissued from : M.S. Wilson & J.C. Tash in Proc. U.S. Nat. Mus., 1966, 118 (No 3534). [p.559, Fig.2].
Female: a, c, P5 showing variation in outer spines and detail of bases of exopod 3 spines; d, P2; e, P1; f, exopod 3 of P3; g, P4..

Copepodid female stage V: b, P5; d

Species Eurytemora arctica - Plate 4 of morphological figuresissued from : M.S. Wilson & J.C. Tash in Proc. U.S. Nat. Mus., 1966, 118 (No 3534). [p.561, Fig.3].
Male: a, right A1 (from 7th segment to apex); b, left A1 (segments 11-20); c, right A1 (spines of segments 8-12); d -e, P5 (anterior; from 2 specimens in slightly different positions); f, urosome (dorsal).Copepodid Male stage V: g, P5 (posterior).

Loc:
Alaska
N: 4
Lg.:
(567) F: 2,02-1,85; M: 1,65-1,56; {F: 1,85-2,02; M: 1,56-1,65}
Rem.: freshwater, rarely in coastal brackish pools.
Incomplete data.
After Heron & Damkaer (1976, Table 2) ratio anal somite/uropod (= caudal rami) 6/11; with metasomal wings.
For Wilson & Tash (1966, p.562) this species does not appear to be closely related to any known species but can be assigned on the basis of characters of A1 and female P5 to a broadly defined group that includes E; composita and E. gracilicauda.
