Distribution map of Paracalanus sp. by geographical zones
Loc:
Arabian Gulf (Kuwait)
N: 2
Lg.:
(937) F: 0,89-0,96; M: 1,08; (1085) F: 0,75-1,05; 0,8-1,2; {F: 0,75-1,05; M: 0,80-1,20}
Rem.: For Al-Yamani & Prusova (2003, p.33) the female resembles P. aculeatus Giesbrecht (1888) in size and body proportions, it differs from the latter in having more rounded cephalosome in lateral view, absence of finger-like processes on exopod 2 of P4 and shorter distal spines of P5. Paracalanus sp. differs from another large species as P. campaneri Bjornberg (1982), by absence of tufts of long hairs on prosome posterolateral corners.
